Risk management and insurance jobs are critically important for both individuals and businesses, so you will enter the workforce with a competitive advantage — wherever your career takes you.

Student opportunities

  • Have the option of taking our RMI introductory course — even if you’re not an RMI major — to try out the program before making a commitment 
  • Gain foundational and professional-level knowledge on the different types of insurance such as property, liability, health and life
  • Learn how to manage risks and ways to utilize insurance as a risk sharing tool
  • Hone your skills by choosing one of four pathways — finance, health care administration, human resources or marketing
  • Benefit from learning in small classes where you will have the opportunity to receive one-on-one support from faculty with industry experience
  • Take six RMI-specific courses, which includes four RMI core courses and two additional courses from your chosen pathway

  • RMI 351: Principles of Risk Management and Insurance

]]> You have a heart for helping students with learning differences, and we want to help you grow into a teacher who not only inspires them, but gives them the education they need to succeed in life. In the Bachelor of Science in Special Education program, you’ll have the option to take courses that are fully on-ground or online. Your coursework will focus on the needs of diverse learners with mild disabilities, giving you the skills and knowledge you need to build effective lesson plans and strategies. You’ll also select areas of concentration, such as mathematics, science, social studies, English language arts or reading, and will take additional courses to build your understanding in these areas. This means that when you graduate and pass the GACE certification exam, not only will you be certified to teach Pre-K through 12th grade, you’ll have all the tools and experience you need to make a difference for your students.
