Hi there! My name is Paola Benitez Hernandez, and I am the Welcome Center Coordinator for the Office of Admissions. I assist students by giving them information about ³ûÄñÊÓƵ’s degree programs, and I direct them to those they need to speak with. I also work closely with our student leaders — Golden S.T.A.R.s. — who help prospective students get all of the info they need about college life.

Here in Admissions, we are determined to help students understand what college is like at ³ûÄñÊÓƵ. One of the things that I am most proud of at ³ûÄñÊÓƵ is our commitment to student success inside and outside the classroom. Our commitment can be seen in our students who are involved in organizations, such as SGA or ³ûÄñÊÓƵ athletics. 

In my experience, ³ûÄñÊÓƵ has been a home away from home that pushed me to better myself, both academically and professionally. I am from Puerto Rico, and I came to ³ûÄñÊÓƵ to further my studies. I graduated in May 2022 with a bachelor’s in exercise science, which isn’t offered at many other universities. While earning my degree here, I felt a strong sense of community, and I hope to help create this same feeling for other students while I work at ³ûÄñÊÓƵ.
